Often I come across woman with stories that inspire me in regards to health and fitness and I love asking them if they'd be willing to share them with all of you. I recently connected with Christy on FB and we quickly started chatting about her success in living a healthier lifestyle and she happily agreed to share it. :)
I've tried to stay active my entire life. I was a Division 1 college athlete playing volleyball and running track from 2006-2010. After I completed college my husband and I welcomed our first daughter in 2012. I struggled with how hard it was to get the weight off and really wasn't able to until after having my second daughter in January 2014. After having my second child, I was pushing 200 lbs and I was really depressed. I had no energy and no motivation to do anything about it and would literally stay on the couch until mid-afternoon every day. I was angry at the world and was stuck in a funk. Finally, after a couple of months, and with the help of T-25 (an in-home workout program that's 25 mins/day), I was able to lose the baby weight plus 20 additional lbs. I lost a grand total of 60+ lbs in all! I'm smaller than I've ever been. I've worked out nearly every day and I just love what it does for me. I'm a better mom, wife, friend, neighbor, sister when I do. I'm still in the middle of my journey as I now have goals to "tone up" and getting my eating habits under control. And I've slowly been working on it and I'm learning and sharing what I've learned as I go.
I have done a lot of programs since as I work on myself everyday. I have been recommending T-25 and other Beachbody programs to friends and family for quite some time so I decided that signing up to be an online fitness and nutrition coach for Beachbody seemed like a natural fit. My goals now are to help as many people as I can to get real results like I did by incorporating exercise and healthy eating habits on a daily basis to make it a lifestyle and not just a fad. I feel like I can't help other women the best I can if I'm not doing it myself. I especially love helping moms who have struggled getting the weight off and getting a healthy body image again because every woman deserves that! I plan to live this lifestyle indefinitely and build a solid business helping others along the way because I am so passionate about it. I want as many women to feel the way I do to have a healthy fulfilling joyful life. My kids inspire me, my former self inspires me, and all other women who work on themselves inspire me daily and are the reason I do what I do.
